William Yale currently attends Trinity College in Hartford, CT, majoring in Public Policy & Law, with a concentration in International Relations and Human Rights.  During the 2010-2011 school year he was abroad in Beijing, China, studying Mandarin at Beijing Foreign Studies University and Minzu University.  Will, a native of San Francisco, CA has worked for various political campaigns in California, Virginia and New Hampshire, recruiting volunteers and organizing field operations.

At Trinity, Will served as President of the Trinity College Democrats during the 2009-2010 school year, and served in the Student Government Association Senate from 2008 to 2010.  In the SGA Senate, Will served as Chair of the Academic Affairs Committee, creating a new take-your-professor-out-to-dinner program, After Office Hours, as well as working to secure open course evaluations, the release of textbook ISBN numbers, open course syllabi, and a new January Term, consisting of classes and academic enrichment between the fall and spring semesters. Most recently, Will was elected by the Fred Pfeil Community Project to serve on the Campus Climate Committee, where he resurrected “Conversations over Cocktails,” a monthly event bringing Trinity faculty, students, and staff around a common discussion topic. Will also serves on the Senior Class Gift Committee, raising money for a scholarship to be awarded to a member of the incoming class of 2016.

Will is an Eagle Scout, Quest Scholar, and recipient of the Benjamin A. Gilman International Scholarship and a Fulbright Fellowship (through a generous grant to Associated Colleges in China by the Fulbright Program).  He is interested in going into public service upon graduation.

When not in class, Will enjoys singing sacred music, performing musical theater, playing tennis, and baking, and then eating, delicious pies.
